Vacation Bible School is an action-packed week for kids and volunteers to learn and experience the Bible in memorable ways! Register a child for the Hope+Elim VBS session and/or sign up to volunteer! Registration Cost
$15 per child through June 15; $20 per child after June 15. A VBS T-shirt is included with registration. If registering after June 15, T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed.

Volunteer Opportunities
Do you want to be a part of the best event of the summer?! We’ve got a place for you! Whether you want to help lead a group as a Shepherd or Jr. Shepherd, assist with set-up, clean-up, crafts or games, work in the nursery, distribute snacks, greet families as they come in, lead kids in song and dance, or even provide a safe environment for everyone, we’ve got a volunteer opportunity for you!
Adult volunteers must be 18 years and older.
Junior volunteers is for students going into grades 7-12.
SET DESIGN VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed to help with the artistic endeavors to building the set for VBS. This includes constructing and painting sets, signage, and much more to make VBS beautiful. No artistic skills are required! If you can cut, glue, paint, paper-mache, weave, or more you are qualified!
Volunteers ages 9-13 must be accompanied by an adult. No younger volunteers, please!
PROVIDE DONATIONS
Sign up to bring various supplies and snacks for VBS at Hope+Elim! All donations can be delivered directly to Hope+Elim (2500 University Ave.) or dropped off in the office during our office hours. Thank you for the ways that you are serving the kiddos at VBS this summer!
VBS Mission Opportunity
Our annual VBS missions opportunity this year, in partnership with Lutheran Services of Iowa, is to collect hygiene products for refugee families and migrant services in need.
Please bring new items including:
- Bars of soap
- Shampoo
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Razors
- Deodorant
We’ll have collection bins in the lobby for all to participate, even if you aren’t attending VBS. Thank you for being part of this great opportunity to help others this week!
Daily Snack List
The daily snacks connect with the lesson of the day, however if your child has dietary restrictions or allergies you may bring snacks for your child. Please label them with their name and drop them off at the registration table. Hope+Elim will offer gluten-free snacks each day for those who need it.
Monday: Animal crackers
Tuesday: Cheez-It crackers
Wednesday: Fruit snacks
Thursday: Trail mix
Friday: Popcorn and freezer pops
