This June, we’re proud to commemorate Juneteenth with a month full of meaningful events and celebrations! Throughout the month, we’ll be hosting a diverse lineup of activities and programs that honor the history, culture, and significance of Juneteenth. Join us as we reflect on the importance of this historic holiday, celebrate Black freedom and achievement.

Saturday, June 14

To celebrate Juneteenth, join us at the Varsity Theater for a viewing of the movie “Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom” to learn more about the origin of this momentous occasion.

Join us for a music workshop where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about church music and instruments, improve their technique, and connect with other local musicians.

Thursday, June 19

Join us for a special service on June 19 as we recognize, learn, and celebrate Juneteenth to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.

We will be having one service to come together as a community to commemorate Juneteenth by going out praying in and around our neighborhoods.
