What’s Happening at Hope+Elim?

Children in grade 5 and younger are invited to trick-or-treat in our parking lot in a safe, free and family-friendly environment. Fun, non-spooky costumes are welcome, but not required. Families are invited to enjoy some food inside in The Commons as well.
At Hope+Elim, we offer diverse SQUADs for you to deepen your faith journey and make a meaningful impact. Whether you’re looking to serve as Christ’s hands and feet in our community, or participate in outreach events, there’s a SQUAD for you. From young adults seeking God’s purpose to those passionate about nurturing the next generation, together we can create a vibrant, caring community dedicated to serving God and others at Hope+Elim.

Kairos is a grace-based community of college students that freely shares the soul-satisfying love of Jesus! Kairos provides opportunities to connect, worship, grow and serve alongside other college students.

Kids are valued and important to the Hope+Elim community. Discipleship, fun and connection for all ages happens in our weekend and mid-week programming. Hope+Elim Kids, our program for age 3 –grade 5, PowerLife, our junior high program for grades 5-8 and Ignition our high school program for grades 9-12. Register to join!
Who We Are
Although there are many forms of church partnerships and mergers, Hope+Elim is two congregations choosing to intentionally come together in November 2020 for the sake of God’s kingdom. The former Hope Des Moines campus and Elim Christian Fellowship are now Hope+Elim. We exist with a specific and unique role to serve the city of Des Moines striving for agape love and to create and preserve the Beloved Community, on earth, as it is in heaven.
